Brent Brodie
President
Brent purchased the company in 2018 and brought his extensive knowledge of logistics and customer service to the team. Brent spent 22 years in the US Army and traveled the world as a member of the infantry. In 2004 he retired from the Army and settled down in Clarksville, TN with his wife Diane and daughter Nicole.
He spent the next 7 years as a Department of the Army Civilian supporting the Global War on Terrorism by moving Army equipment and personnel from their bases in the U.S. by air, rail, trucks, and ships. Traveling to their destinations and receiving equipment and ensuring it went to where it was needed.
Herb Koch
Associate
Herb Koch was brought up in the trucking business by his father. From the time he was a youngster at only 10 years, he was driving a tandem dump truck in a gravel pit. He went on to driving over the road hauling furniture during the summers, then on to dispatching and making sure loads were cared for, and finally became General Manager of his father’s trucking company. He then sold new and used heavy duty IHC trucks for his father’s dealership—the 4th largest in the U.S. at the time. In 1969, Herb went into the trucking business on his own and combined it with a White Truck dealership. Over the years, Herb cut a niche in the transportation business by moving partial loads of structural steel to and from all points in the U.S. Attempting retirement in 1999, he sold his business and enjoyed traveling around. However, Herb just couldn’t stay away from the trucking business and created KCG Transport, LLC. KCG is still concentrated on putting loads and partial loads together to benefit the steel and machinery industries. Herb’s expertise in this area is unequaled and the KCG Transport team will strive to service any and all companies that are challenged by the ability to complete fast
movement of these types of freight.
